epiSTEME 11
Conference epiSTEME-11 is the eleventh in a biennial series dedicated to reviewing and advancing research worldwide in science, technology, and mathematics education. It is organised by (and hosted at) the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, a national centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India.
Over the past few decades, science, technology, and mathematics education have emerged as vibrant areas of research addressing fundamental questions of teaching and learning. This scholarship engages with interconnected themes across the cognitive, pedagogical, content knowledge based, historical, technological, and socio-cultural dimensions of the sciences. The term epiSTEME signifies the systematic study of knowledge and, as an acronym, suggests a meta-perspective on science, technology, and mathematics education.
The epiSTEME conferences bring together researchers from science, technology, and mathematics education from around the world. Information about previous conferences is available at www.hbcse.tifr.res.in/episteme . epiSTEME-11 continues this tradition of interdisciplinary dialogue and exchange.
The conference will focus on four broad strands of research that shape contemporary work in science, technology, and mathematics education. The community at HBCSE is looking forward to welcoming researchers and teaching practitioners and participating in stimulating academic dialogue.
